Trasmediterranea’s stand at FITUR 2016 received one of the organiser’s awards for Best Stand in the Corporate category.
ACCIONA Producciones y Diseño (APD) is responsible for the design and implementation of the stand, together with the design of the new 1917-2017 Centenary logo, unveiled at FITUR this year.
Fitur, the International Tourism Trade Fair held at the Feria de Madrid on 20-24th January this year, presented the awards for the latest edition of the trade fair this morning. Fitur award categories are Best Stands, Best Active Tourism Products and Tribuna FITUR-Jorge Vila Fradera.
In the Best Stand category, Trasmediterranea received one of the three corporate awards. Pasaje director, Ignacio Maldonado, picked up the honour for a stand that summarises the company’s first 100 years. Trasmediterranea shared this first prize in the corporate category with Meliá Hotels Internacional, Iberia and Kananga (the latter also receiving a special mention).
“La Gran Ola del Tiempo”
Trasmediterranea entrusted ACCIONA Producciones y Diseño (APD) with the design, execution and implementation of the stand, which represented a floating stage set made up of 2017 sea ropes of varying lengths and symbolically titled “The great wave of time”, the soul of the shipping line company that turns 100 years-of-age in 2017. This beautiful nautical symbiosis represented the fusion between tradition and modernity, linking the company’s historical past and its new dynamic phase and renewed branding.
At Fitur, Trasmediterranea also unveiled the new logo for the 1917-2017 centenary, occupying a prominent location within the stand. Created by APD, el logo reflects the company’s 100 years of experience with the 100 number selected in red, a hallmark for an entire era. Moving forward, the new Centenary logo will be implemented gradually on the company’s ships, delegations and maritime stations.
With these awards, FITUR promotes excellency and innovation in tourism, recognising the efforts made by companies, professionals and researchers to strengthen the image of the sector, to create new products to diversify offer and contribute to sustainable development, and to carry out research to drive the evolution of this market from the standpoint of know-how and analysis.
Presided by the Secretary of State for Tourism, Isabel María Borrego, other attendees at the event were the Chairman of IFEMA’s Governing Board, Luis Cueto; the Chairman of FITUR’s Organising Committee, Luis Gallego; IFEMA’s Managing Director, Fermín Lucas, and the Director of the International Tourism Trade Fair, Ana Larrañaga.
