As a result of this collaboration, Spanish State Lotteries will disseminate the event all over Spain.
APD is the company responsible for the design, production and overall organisation of all the events marking the shipping companies centenary to date.
ACCIONA Producciones y Diseño (APD) was selected by TRASMEDITERRÁNEA to design, produce and organise all the commemorative events programmed by the company for its centenary. These celebrations have taken place in Spain’s key ports where TRASMEDITERRANEA currently operates, welcoming the highest port authorities, clients, port representatives, members of society and the media.
APD has performed an all-round service at each of these events, including the conceptual design of the stage setting, save-the-dates and invitations, but also the manufacture and installation of each stage in the different areas of the event —guest reception, conferences and cocktail—, audio-visual equipment, catering and hostesses.
On this occasion, it was the official presentation of the National Lottery ticket that, in collaboration with Spanish State Lotteries, commemorates TRASMEDITERRANEA’s 100 years and which is available for purchase for the 20th May draw. The ceremony was held at a unique venue, the Sorolla ship. The event was hosted by TRASMEDITERRÁNEA’S director of institutional relations, Rafael Montes, with the participation of the president of the Malaga Port Authority, Paulino Plata; Spanish State Lotteries’ director of institutional and international relations, Manuel Gómez Amigó; and TRASMEDITERRÁNEA’s marketing director, Miguel Pardo, together with representatives of other institutions, clients and the press. The lottery draw will make available for sale ten million tickets at the 10,900 lottery ticket outlets in Spain.
The first event was held on 23rd March at the Mallorca Chamber of Commerce and present were the president of the Chamber, José Luis Roses; the president of the shipping company, Jorge Vega-Penichet; the director general of TRASMEDITERRANEA, Mario Quero; the president of the Port Authority of the Balearic Islands, Joan Gual de Torrella; the mayor of Palma, José Hila; the Government delegate, María Salom; the president of the Balearic Islands, Francina Armengol, among other high authorities of the Islands, clients, port authority representatives, representatives of Balearic society and the media. In total, around 170 people joined TRASMEDITERRANEA for this event.
Ibiza was the second city chosen to host the celebration of the centenary, with an event held on 3rd April at the Old City Hall, attended by more than 100 guests, among them, the president of the Council of Ibiza, Vicent Torres; Ibiza’s mayor, Rafael Ruiz and the president of the Port Authority of the Balearic Islands, Joan Gual de Torrella.
These acts are part of the full celebrations that TRASMEDITERRANEA has programmed for its Centenary, and which it has fully entrusted to APD. The starting point was the company’s stand at FITUR at the beginning of the year, awarded with the 2017 FITUR Best Stand prize in the corporate category. In addition, APD was also responsible for the design, execution and installation of the exhibition “A hundred years of Trasmediterránea”, open to the public at the Maritime Museum of Barcelona until 2nd May.
Full information on TRASMEDITERRÁNEA Centenary is available at www.centenariotrasmediterranea.com, produced by APD, which includes a virtual tour of the Centenary Exhibition at the Maritime Museum of Barcelona, to discover the collections and pieces on display at this unique exhibit. As part of the virtual tour, visitors can access the Cube, an immersive audio-visual experience that reviews the shipping company’s 100 years.
