APD has envisaged and designed the virtual tour of the “100 years of TRASMEDITERRANEA (1917-2017)” exhibition, which was opened to the public at the Maritime Museum of Barcelona until May 1st.
TRASMEDITERRANEA’s aim is to bring its company history and trajectory to the largest possible audience by using the most cutting edge technologies. Thus, the exhibition visit is still possible on its website www.centenariotrasmediterranea.com, dedicated to the shipping company’s centenary.
This virtual tour is possible due to the use of captured reality technology. Used for the first time in Spain, this solution produces 3D digital models from the capture of 360º photography in combination with infrared sensor technology, which speeds up data gathering and rapidly generates a 3D model of reality, in addition to a constructive plan of the captured environments.
Web visitors have access to all the pieces and objects on exhibitions, such as the hostess uniforms designed by Elio Berhanyer or the Ciudad de Palma ship model and, of course, the immersive audio-visual “Cubo”.
Travelling through time will also be available from home, with suggestive and sensorial images relating to the origins of the company and reaching out to the TRASMEDITERRANEA of the future, where ports, iconic ships, passengers and crews are the main protagonists.
From the beginning, TRASMEDITERRANEA entrusted APD with the design and execution of all the actions related to its 100-year anniversary. From the design of the logo, to the 2017 FITUR stand, winner of the Best Stand award in the corporate category, and including the web, the exhibition in Barcelona and the tour of commemorative events in different port cities in the country. The last of these events took place in Málaga to present a National Lottery ticket paying tribute to the company’s centenary.
