“Digital for everything, everywhere” was the title of the presentation given by Katja Klinkerberg, Business Development Manager at APD, in which she presented three case studies with the company’s use of pioneering solutions in technological innovation and sustainable development in the Events and Museums fields.
Held in Budapest on 28 and 29 June, the conference gathered communication, marketing and event leaders of top international companies to share the latest trends and advances in strategic issues such as digital transformation, innovation, measuring and return, in addition to user experience and motivation.
ACCIONA Producciones y Diseño (APD) took part in the UNICEO European Congress, held in Budapest on 28 and 29 June, under the theme “Leading Events to the Future”, with a presentation given by Business Development Manager Katja Klinkenberg. During her presentation, Katja shared three cases studies with attendees on the company’s use of pioneering solutions in technological innovation and sustainable development in the Events and Museums fields.
The first case involved the Night-time Guided Tours of Cordoba Cathedral,“El Alma de Córdoba”, the first cultural engineering project in the region and a clear example of sustainable development that has managed to deseasonalize tourism, increase overnight stays, generate local wealth and generate quick returns on investments made in the region.Another case was the National Museum of Oman, the first museum in the Middle East to be adapted to the needs of the visually impaired and the first in Oman to provide full access to people with reduced mobility. The last case was the Christmas Multimedia Show “Alumbra” by the Seville City Council, shown as an example of the application of Big Data to measure the impact of events in the city through the analysis of the attendees’ behaviour. The Eventoplus Awards 2016, Grand Jury Award, and Best Public Event Silver Elephant, European Best Event Awards 2016 recognized these shows.
In concluding, Katja remarked on the importance of incorporating the latest technological advances, as well as sustainable development carried out in the APD projects, enable us “to create high-level experiences for visitors while offering clear long-terms benefits in the places where they are developed”.
The first UNICEO European Congress had an extensive programme comprised of presentations, round table discussions and spaces for networking, where experts and professionals from the field of communication, events and marketing in large international companies took part in strategic issues such as digital transformation, innovation, measurement and return, as well as user experience and motivation.
